You know Texas will answer after this. Arkansas has one of the top stadiums in the country. I’ve heard OU, with new SEC money pouring in, has renovations in the works.
In the Big 12, OSU has a brand new very quality stadium. TCU and Baylor have better facilities.
Meanwhile, Tech, with four CWS appearances, has a G5 aluminum erector set that is becoming closer to a high school stadium than the stadiums of your direct competition.
I’m not assigning blame. I’m just stating what is out there. I’m not sure what the answer is. Maybe there is no answer. Maybe it just is what it is.
We’ll see what this season brings. But you’re seeing creeping slippage in the program. What is a gap right now may be a chasm in a few more years. Facilities may be a visible symbol of that.
