It sure is exciting to see where we might end up, especially considering that as a program we haven't had a winning season since 2015, haven't won a bowl game since 2013, and haven't made a bowl game since 2017.
Having losing seasons 6 times last decade (2011, 2014, 2016, 2017, 2018, and 2019), and 5 out of the last 6 seasons is why we are where we are.
That kind of losing isn't reversed in one year.
So ironic but when Leach's defensive players graduated out of the program so did being ranked and winning bowl games.
Tech's resurgence and resurrection will also occur on the defensive side of the ball. Transfers from California, Michigan State, LSU, Penn State, Minnesota, Utah State x2, North Texas, Garden City Community College, Allan Hancock College, Kilgore Junior College, Iowa Western Community College, Butler County Community College, Northwest Mississippi Community College, Northeast Oklahoma A&M, and Hutchinson Community College, on the defensive side of the ball, will have to lead the way until the younger players like:
