Just reading through that TCU - Georgia thread, really got me to thinking about the kind of progrum Tech will mature into with JM. I ha e to admit, while I think it is possible for Tech to win a national championship with this coach, I have never considered it reasonable to build a program as powerful as Bama, Georgia, and Ohio State are right now.
JM said that we are a sleeping giant. I see what he is talking about in real time. He should, of course, believe that he can build the biggest and baddest program in history. And he should never shy away from saying that publicly. In fact, I would never argue against that. Everything I have seen from this man is exceptional and I wouldn't logically argue that expectations for him should have a ceiling.
What I am trying to envision, in a way too early sort of way, is where I think this program will fit in comparison to others when we "top out." I think my problem is just that I haven't seen Tech truly hit those heights. But why not?
