I see over and over that we simply do not have the same amount of big money boosters that other schools have. I am likely one of thousands of boosters that give an annual amount up to 5k every year toward our alma mater. (Some years less and some more)
But, does anyone have an actual guess or info on how many big money folks we have ? I'm sure @PrevostRaider can share with us details of this or how we stack up....
All I see if tcu, rape u, atm ut and osu have money coming out of their eyeballs, but what kind of money do they have that or how good are those schools marketing teams to extract that cash fron the alum?
We see a lot of " Well if you want to donate here's the email address" . I get that.
Lastly, just a quit nut kicking story from a lunch yesterday in Plano. Took a business owner to lunch (tcu alum) self admitted not crazy sports fan, especially tcu but still respects his old school. Anyway, 10mm a year guy and over the course of 3 years, had been treated to dinner after dinner, call after Call and outting after outting to help put purple Baylor on the map.
2 months ago he gave in and said he donated 4mm cash to their athletic department in N effort to bring a natty to tcu.
Do we do this to your 250k earners up to the multi million dollar guys? I will say this- I'm not rich like those standards but by everyday 32 year old standard we are very blessed and I have never received a single call about a larger donation. Outside of the amazing work that @LondonRedRaider and other have done on here.
