Preseason for the Refs - Wow.

Guys that really impressed me:
Nadolny - He can be really electric. We will see alot of him this year.
Shannon - If this kid can develop a consistent outside shot, he has Culver type upside.
Clarke - We will only go as far as he takes us this year. He will really be relied upon.
McCullar - There were several minutes in the middle of the game where he looked like a seasoned pro. He has great feet and a really good court awareness. He may be my greatest pleasant surprise.
Big Russ - He is really raw but he has excellent size and good athleticism. We can work with him.

Guys that had an average day:
Holyfield - He needs to be more active as a leader inside. The other players are more athletic. He has to make up for that in game seasoning.
Edwards - He had a poor shot today.
Moretti - He ended with alot of points but shot was off early.
Smith - This is only because I wanted him to be a killer inside. He will be a good player but he looked like a freshman today.
Ramsey - I thought he played well but he needs to be the five star take-over-the-game guy. Shannon and McCullar looked more the part than Ramsey in this game. Needs to go hard every play.
Savrasov - great size but this game is too fast for him right now.

This team will be just fine. They have to trust each other and the offense. Way too many shots early in the clock and without rebounding. Too many dribbles into a crowded lane. These are all things that they will work on and get better before the season starts. I thought the defense was really good and I like the tempo in transition. We just need better understanding of when the rim is open or when the shot is adviseable.
