I was sick when I saw we dropped last night's game to Oral Roberts after leading the game 6-0. The top 4 in the batting order (Raley,Smith, Guetierrez, and Neslony) went a combined 9 for 19 along with 2 walks and zero strikeouts. The 5,6, and 7 hitters (Carpenter, Proudfoot and Long) unfortunately went 1 for 14 with one walk and five strikeouts. Oh, for those beating the drum on Long -- he went 0 - 4 at the plate (although he did get hit by a pitch) with two strikeouts and left four men on base. He is now batting .233 for the season. Bryant Burleson didn't do any better in replacing Long at 2nd base -- he struck out at his only at bat and made an error in the field for his 6th error of the season. Should be interesting to see who Tadlock plays at 2nd for not only today's game but against OU.
