Hopefully some folks who have actually seen either one or both the first two games of Tech's Red/Black baseball series can contribute first hand observations, I'm just noting a few things I noticed looking at the box scores.
Interesting that the staff has only used 15 position players to bat, and a 16th, Masters, has played CF but not batted. No use of a DH for either team. With only 7 batters hitting for the Black team the lineup turns over really fast.
Just going by the lines in the box score, the pitcher with the best stats thru 2 games.........is one of last seasons catchers, Zayne Willems. Lots of runs scored so far, pitching has taken it on the chin.
For some reason I have really high hopes for frosh Jose Gonzales.
