Well now that the draft signing deadline is behind us we have a much better idea as to who will be on campus this Fall. I'm not sure that there were any great surprises regarding the draft -- our blue chip players got selected and signed. It was a mild surprise that Matt Custred signed as a 31st round selection but whatever. The guy had a good arm but not sure whether he was going to be a guy you could count on since he hadn't achieved that status in 3 years at Tech. It's a big plus that we have both Chandler Eden and Adam Coates passed on signing pro contracts and will be making it to campus this Fall. Along with Eden and Coates we signed 9 other pitchers who were not drafted and are candidates to be on campus in the Fall. We lost a total of 6 pitches off last year's team (including Jonathan Tripp who transferred). It should be interesting to see who of the 11 new signees end up on the final roster and how many of the pitchers on the current roster won't be back. I wouldn't be surprised to see either Sean Thompson or Jackson Lancaster back just based on the fact neither played much at all last year.
