Fiance makes roughly 30,000 a year, and we have two kids. Our son goes to daycare and we spend about $7,000 per year. Our daughter is taken care of my fiance's dad. My question is would it be better to max out her the dependent care flexible spending account ($5,000) which would lower her AGI or simply claim the child care tax credit? Since only one goes to daycare I think the max amount that we can can get back is a $3,000 tax credit.
