Curious to hear from people like Swamp why the rebel flag is so upsetting to some.
Obviously it has a negative connotation in many situations as does the swastika.
However, the swastika also has a meaning of good fortune and all is well for Buddhists. The Stars and Bars also has a meaning of Southern Pride(not related to slavery). So Buddhists aren't asked to stop using there symbol so why so upset over the stars and bars.
Symbology is totally up to perception and what the audience wants it to mean.
