I think this year would be the year to beat the Cowboys in Stillwater. The past three have been so close. Time to get over that hump and I believe Alan Bowman does that for you with a healthy backfield and front five along with the return of Jah'Shawn on defense, hopefully. This one will be a shootout but OSU lost so much from last year. Yes, they reloaded, but still don't see much of a combo-threat just yet like they had with Rudolph-Washington. I think Hatfield knocks one through to win the game followed by a defensive stop.

Time to see if the Tech offense can take the show on the road. I believe the team plays well most of the game in a back and forth matchup, and this one will depend on the defense being able to make stops and turnover the Cowboys’ offense.
Going on the road to Stillwater is tough, I’m taking OkState to pull away late.

Texas Tech is riding high off the win against Houston but Oklahoma State is a different team and a harder team. Alan Bowman will still have a great game but it won’t be record breaking and it’s his first real test since I don’t count the Ole Miss game as he wasn’t prepared. Antoine Wesley will also have a good game but look for Oklahoma State’s defense to cover him extensively which could open the door for Vasher, Carter or Austin or Donta Thompson to see more receptions. The running game will be limited, at least early on which could pose problems for the passing game. It’ll be a close more low scoring affair than the Houston game, and Tech will likely take the lead once or twice, but in the end Oklahoma State will come out on top.

This is arguably Texas Tech’s toughest game of the season. The Red Raiders haven’t beaten the Cowboys since 2008 and unfortunately I think that streak continues this week in Stillwater. I think Alan Bowman will continue to play well and plead his case to be this team’s quarterback for the rest of the season. I think the defense will force at least one turnover in this one, but I think they will struggle to slow down Taylor Cornelius and this offense.

I expect a shootout with both sides airing it out. It’ll be a back and forth game, but as is the case the last 9 years facing OSU, they find a way to pull out the win in the end. I do think Tech covers though, this game has been pretty close the last few season and Tech has had a great chance to win a couple of those.

All streaks are meant to be broken, right? This will be the game that fans will point to in the Kingsbury era where things started to change. Texas Tech reverses their recent misfortunes in Stillwater and kicks a late field goal to beat the Cowboys. Alan Bowman wins his second consecutive Big 12 honor and this sets up a huge meeting with West Virginia in Lubbock.
