Was looking at the commitments around the Big 12. Pretty slim right now with UT having the most at 6 and a couple of others with 5. It's unlikely that we'll see a rash of commitments in the next few months for obvious reasons. It will look like a calf scramble when things open back up. The later it occurs, the worse it will be. Compounding matters is a likelihood that many athletic departments will likely be put on a stricter budget. Coaches will be chomping at the bit to work and evaluate their own players to get prepare for the season in August. They'll Seems like many districts may not have students return this spring so high school coaches are going to be behind the 8 ball, too.

Just wondering what strategies Tech and others may have for recruiting if things are delayed so long. Tech was fortunate in having some camps early, others not so fortunate. This goes for satellite camps, camps put on by recruiting services, 6 on 6 tournaments, etc. I'm assuming coaches are spending even more time watching high school film this spring and summer. Will the NCAA alter some visitation and contact rules? Wondering what steps staffs might be taking to allocate time and money to recruiting when the mad rush starts. How will recruiting budgets be effected? I would expect in person evaluations will be prioritized even more. There is going to be a feeding frenzy on these recruits. Do they try and get a couple of extra aides or staff involved in recruiting?

If warm weather beats this virus down then maybe things will return to normal in June.
