Long story short, I did not realize I was entering a school zone right after turning right out of an intersection. He clocked me going 45 in a 20 MPH school zone.
Since it's EXACTLY 25 over the posted limit, I am not entitled to deferred or defensive driving, etc. I am not trying to get out of paying the fine but I AM trying to get out of having it on my record.
Does anyone know if hiring a lawyer is worth it (and have any recommendation)? I set a court date for myself later this month but didn't know if I stand no chance going that route or if I need to actually hire someone. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!
