Wanted to circle back on these guys after they got glossed over this weekend due to football...

The lone loss on this schedule isn't going to hurt you come March, I believe. Villanova was a really solid team, and Tech didn't play very well there in that one. You're very glad that you win against Northern Iowa, no matter how it looked. Was good to see them fight back and win.

Beating Michigan is really nice, especially in the manner that you did it. Michigan is probably close to a Big 10 equivalent to you, and that could become a really solid win for a bubble team in March.

From watching the highlights, Tech shared the ball the best they have all season against UM. It looked like the offensive system started to gel a bit, which was really promising.

You're going to need to win games like that, play really solid defense which is what you flashed. Tech also figured out the turnover problem against Michigan, which was nice to see.

Joe Toussaint and Devan Cambridge put together really solid tournaments. Cambridge started to come out a bit from a scoring perspective, maybe starting to look to score a bit more which was not really his MO at Arizona State. You need someone to emerge as a scorer, and if the uber-experienced guard can do it, that's a major plus.

I was skeptical of Toussaint when you brought him in, but he has been excellent on both sides of the floor. Playing a ton of minutes, shooting it well, commanding the offense well and has been an excellent defender.

It seems as if Kerwin Walton is emerging as an option for McCasland off the bench. Got early minutes against Northern Iowa and played 16 minutes, the same as McMillian, against the Wolverines.

Really hope Pop Isaacs can get some shots to fall, if that happens, Tech could see a big jump. He is a much better shooter than he has showed and you desperately need more shots to fall from everyone.

The Red Raiders trip to Butler, which was not supposed to be your best game on the schedule, is now the best remaining non-con game on your schedule. A massive opportunity to snag a quad-one win in November. On the same vein, it is a real shame that Vanderbilt (150 KP) is that bad. You're playing the equivalents of Abilene Christian (149 KP) and Georgia Tech (151 KP) on a neutral floor in two weeks.

If you beat this Butler team, you likely head to Big 12 play with one loss. Very fun thing to see.
