Logged on today and expected a thread on this. Interested in folks opinions of downstream impacts? Obviously the VC backed startup environment has been set back 10 years or so and hundreds, if not thousands of startups will be out of capital to meet payroll. Beyond that will be interesting to see the impact of this on the economy over the coming weeks .
While I havent seen anything discussed on this I do think there is enough of a financial impact from this on the economy and the investment community for this to impact the pending Pac 12 deal and what they may get in there new deal Between donors, businesses, shareholders universities losing money (Stanford and Berkley invested in SVB) where the $8B market cap go "poof" there odds of contagion effect is not zero, IMO.
I also think it is possible for people exodus from Bay area or out of California altogether.
