If a touchdown occurs the moment the ball crosses the goal line in the grasp of the runner/receiver, then why was Coutee's te nullified? I may be wrong, but it looked like the ball was never out of his control until he hit the ground a few feet past the goal. But supposes running back crosses the goal and gets stripped a yard later? It's a TD. So what's the difference?
I understand about the. Ontinuation rule, but does it nullify the long-htld rule about the ball crossing the goal in possession?
