Shot in the dark - iPhone camera help

If someone can help me identify and fix this problem, I'll comp that person two free months to RRS.

I'm having an issue with the back camera on my iPhone 7. Front camera works fine. It is not working in the default camera app or when I try to take a photo through Instagram, but it works fine on Snapchat -- so that would seem to rule out a hardware issue. I've restarted the device multiple and I have plenttttty of storage space left.

I've tried Google but have so far come up empty.
