I think it's a pretty important time and an inflection point for the programs in Texas with the balance of power.

BU is most likely on their way down. They evaluated well and really built a big program that won but coincided with UT being down. We really need to beat them on the field and start beating them for recruits.

I think Strong is gong to bring UT back in earnest beginning this year. I don't know if he will ultimately be the guy in that he won't win a national title but I think their down days are over.

TCU will probably directly benefit from Baylor and depending how things go in the next couple years, firmly establish themselves above us. Damn that tipped pass, still think we can alway beat them though ala aggie back in the day.

UH is really coming on hard to try and make this conference and is a real wildcard in terms of a threat to Tech. We must keep them out at all costs, if they make it in then I do worry about our intermediate and possibly long term competitiveness. Recruiting will be very tight whereas if they don't get in and Baylor tanks we will move up 5-10 spots.

The next couple years are very important and I really hope we can take a big step next year and beat all the schools not named Texas, I want to beat Texas too but it's not as important as the rest. I'm not super high on this years team but if they can beat Baylor that would go along way in getting us a few more recruits to make a run next year.
