My good friend nearly died last week when his intestines exploded. He was rushed to the hospital and immediately when into extensive life saving surgery. Obamacare paid for the surgery.
He went on Obamacare three years ago when I found out he didnt have health insurance. I had to explain to him that the NUMEROUS LIES told by Republicans over the years, were just that...LIES. I had to educate him and explain it was private health insurance that the government helped pay for...and nothing else.
He was a die hard Trump guy until he al almost died last week. We had a conversation before the election because he said he was voting for Trumo (again) because he doesn't like trans people. I responded with, "You want to vote for a guy and party that wants to take your health insurance away from you because you don't like people that don't affect your life at all?"
Well after almost dying. He has seen the light. He had insurance to cover what would have been a $300K plus operation, hospital stay, therapy, etc.
Donald Trump and the Republicans literally did not want him to have that coverage and tried to take it away from millions with zero plan to replace it. He gets it now. He thanked Obama and McCain for being better than Trump.
