Tonight was our annual Missions Banquet. I am just now getting home from church and am about to watch the 2ndQ to the end of our game, but here are some initial thoughts from tonights exciting and SO VERY NEEDED victory...

Houston may not lose another game this year. 11-1, maybe 10-2 at worst. They will light some people up.
Alan Bowman is every bit as good as any freshman QB that I have seen after three games. Yes, I said it. 1999 Kingsbury, 2013 Mayfield. 2013 Webb. 2014 Mahomes... Bowman is calm. He has touch. He has timing. It's deceptive but he gets the ball where it needs to go. He can throw dimes on the move. He protects the ball.

Thought the first three games of his young career:

94-133 70.7% 1,160 yards 8 TD 0 INT
10 rushes 18 yards 1.8 avg 0 TD

Another interesting trend:

Tech 131 rushes 527 yards 4.0 avg 13 TDs
OPP 110 rushes 485 yards 4.4 avg 4 TDs

Leading Receiver and it isn't even close:

Antoine Wesley - 23 rec 413 yards 18.0 avg 4 TDs

Top 3 Scorers:

FR RB Ta'Zhawn Henry 6 TDs - 36 points
SR K Clayton Hatfield 2-2 FG 23-23 XPT - 29 points
JR WR Antoine Wesley 4 TDs - 24 points

Defensive Leaders:

1. Dakota Allen 19 tackles
2. Jordyn Brooks 18 tackles
3. Tony Jones 17 tackles; 3 sacks
4. Riko Jeffers 15 tackles
5. Douglas Coleman 13 tackles; having to play out of position

We have 5 sacks.
We have only given up 1 sack.

We have forced 5 turnovers.
We have only given up 2 turnovers. (Jett Duffey; De'Quan Bowman)

Bring on the Big 12!!!!! Tech is 2-1 and tonight feels pretty good, man.
