Headed there Saturday for a week.
Long Story Short......Wife's Mom and Step Father are paying for a 4 bedroom house. Originally started as a group of 16....now is up to 24 for a 4 bedroom house. Through strategic negotiations, my wife, kids and I have secured one of the 2 king size bed rooms.
I am an early riser, so my plan is to get out of the house each morning and fish until 10:30ish everyday to get away from the madness that will surely ensue by midweek. We have a deep sea guide reserved for Tuesday, but would like to fish from the surf, bay, or a pier other days.
Was at Destin 4 years ago and fishing from a pier with about 200 other people. Nobody was catching a thing, except for these two older Asian ladies. The had some type of multi-hook fly contraption, and were pulling up Pompano 2-3 at a time. Heard those are delicious to eat!
Never been.....any recs on where to go? What to fish for? What bait to use?
