Rewatching the game, we absolutely must have better O-line play. I know this is obvious to most of you but it's the thing that's going to make or break this season. It doesn't really seem like we're getting blown off the line or anything, the blocking technique is just not there and we're missing blocks that could lead to big gainers in the run game. Also, the pass blocking is so up and down it's giving me heart palpitations. I nearly had to turn the game off after one play when they rushed 3 and all 3 got to the QB within a second (and it was not a screen pass).
We can't rely on the QB's legs this year to keep defenses honest. If we can't run the ball and reliable protect Nic, we may have trouble winning more than a couple more conference games. It's keeping me up at night.
