- Gibbs says Oklahoma State has a really good team, they're explosive, running backs are good, quarterback is good and wide receivers are tall and fast.

- Morris says when they get the defense where they can do the run, says Mahomes needs to get into the run faster

- Morris says Oklahoma State has two of the best defensive ends in the country, Sterns in the secondary is the best tackling person in the secondary. The corners are good, so they are really good. Schematically they are a little different than Oklahoma, but with experience they are about the same.

-Morris says they need to move fast, work in the run and screens to keep Oklahoma State off-balance so their defensive ends just can't tee off on them

- Morris anticipates a good atmosphere on Saturday, expect the students to be in full force, they play better when they have a rowdy crowd at home.

"We have great fans, win, lose or draw"

Recruiting Roundup

- Houston (Texas) Cypress Ridge cornerbackD'Angelo Ellisis one of many in-state prospects who have been evaluated by a Texas Tech coach in recent weeks. Defensive backs coach Kevin Curtis went and saw Ellis play earlier this month when Ellis' Cypress Ridge squad took on Cypress Falls. The two have been in contact for awhile now and Ellis was able to camp with the Red Raiders over the summer. Ellis, a two-star prospect, has been committed to the Rice Owls since August. - See more at: https://texastech.rivals.com/content.asp?CID=1818040&PT=4&PR=2#sthash.5N56kJsZ.dpuf

- Texas Tech has been looking to add more size to their offensive line for the future, and they certainly did that when Missouri City (Texas) Ridge Point offensive tackleTravis Bruffycommitted in late July. Since then, the O-lineman has devoted his time to mastering his craft and leading his team this fall. Bruffy has even gone as far as to study the Red Raider O-line closely, watching them perform weekly and dissecting some of the unit's tendencies. The OT hopes that being a student early will help him gain an early advantage once he's on campus and rolling. Bruffy has also built a relationship with freshman Red Raider wide receiver Jonathan Giles, and the two have had conversations about the expectations put on freshmen by the Tech coaching staff.
