Today is the 10-year anniversary of RRS. Red Raider Extreme, as it was first known, began publishing on Jan. 14, 2002 with Geoff Ketchum and Jason Suchomel providing virtually all of the content.
Ten months later, Robert Giovannetti merged his print magazine, Red Raider Sports, with Red Raider Extreme and brought Chris Level on board as the site's primary writer.
We've grown a lot since then thanks largely to the efforts of RG and Level, as well as the hard work of guys like Nathan Chetty, Brad Hudson, Dean Williams, Jordan Strebeck, Armen Williams and countless others.
But, ultimately, what makes RRS so great is the online community that you all have built piece by piece over the last decade. There have been ups and downs -- Beer Garden RRC, Ishie Oduegwu, Jordan Shipley, Gerald Jones, Mike Leach/Miami in 2006, snagging Pearlie Graves and Myles Wade on Signing Day in 2009, Signing Day last year, etc. -- but you all are the constant, and we appreciate all of you for being a part of our first decade.
Here's to another 10 years.
