Rivals published an article on TX five-star football players--obviously you can ignore Farrel's take. It ranks as #2, presumably behind Florida, in 5-star production. I find that a little unfair as I think Florida gets way more attention due to being SEC territory. Texas prospects over-produce relative to their ranking way more than other states from my vantage. A lot of deserving TX prospects never got a fifth star imo.
But it's decent conversation for recruiting followers and it's kind of a blast from the past--Vince Young, Matt Stafford, Ofa (lol). Sucks to see all those schools having landed a five-star but us. And it's crazy to think our recruiting got worse as the talent pool grew bigger in Texas past six years.
