Thought it would be fun to have an ongoing thread that everyone coming to NYC could post in so we don’t have a million. Feel free to post an experience you just had, a site you visited, food you just ate, etc. I’ll start...
Southwest flight attendant gave a shout out to the Red Raiders when we landed in La Guardia. Tons of cheers on the plane and wouldn’t name “that other team they’re facing.” Thought that was cool. Trying to hit all the RRS suggested spots so staying at the Michelangelo. Overall a nice place. Room is relatively simple with no view but my God, the location in Rockefeller Center down the street from Times Square... unreal. Perfect for what we were going for this week. The Tree and Saks and Hot Chocolate from the Ralph Lauren cart by the skating rink all amazing. Had a bone in ribeye at Quality Meats. Wife had the surf and turf with filet. Started with some bacon on peanut butter and jalapeño sauce with apple chunks. Fantastic. Not a top 5 steak for me but very, very good and vibe and service were top notch.
I’ll post more sparingly as the trip continues but we had a solid Day 1. Now for a 5 hr snooze before I make an ass of myself on tv at the Today Show.
