I’ve seen it posted in a few threads as he was the one who hired Golden. This is true. BUT at the time the UM athletic dept was in absolute shambles. They had funding issues, attendance issues, academic vs athletic issues etc. NOBODY wanted to touch that job. It was bad all around.
