From the beginning of the season to today, we've clearly regressed in every facet of the game. Especially DURING the games, our execution regresses... Again in every facet. I understand injuries, I understand no off weeks, I understand film study that allows opponents to pick up some tendencies. What I don't get is how our offensive line gets worse as the games progress, and Pat is required to do more, while we have receivers who should be taught from the beginning on effecting route running, and how to catch balls... Yet they can't. Somehow it regresses. Every. Game. Our games this second half of the season have become a microcosm of each season. A strong start is needed to prop ourselves up for the impending crash and burn, only to get a little glimmer of hope in a few instances and just wilt under the pressure. We have no sense of passion on the field (especially on defense). It just seems like the kids almost don't want to be out there (especially on defense) because they expect themselves to fail. Will this ever change?
