My son’s best friend is apparently one of the best sophomore shotput and discus throwers in the country. Threw roughly a 53’ shotput and a 162 discus yesterday at 16 years old. Kid is a tank and will only get better.
He’s a big Aggie fan and is getting interest from other programs across the country but too young for offers yet. I’d love for Tech to court him mostly to keep him away from Aggie, but I think he has potential to be really really successful as well. I’m sure our coaches have a fantastic scouting department or we wouldn’t be the premier track and field program in the country, but is there something I can do to get this kids name on their radar?
Have a nephew who pitches for TEX and he’s really good, Tech never pursued him and I don’t want a similar outcome here.
