I was reading through this update from the national team, and noticed this note on QB Nick Evers, who we interviewed recently...
The quarterback situation in the 2022 class remains in flux as prospects are quickly coming off the board and others will commit soon as well. For Evers, Florida and Penn State are rumored to have his attention the most and then there is a big drop-off to Boise State, Virginia Tech and Colorado. This could be a battle between the Gators and the Nittany Lions, though, unless a surprise team emerges soon.
maybe these 'differences' are usually implied in CFB recruiting, but these are people who rank prospects and the school a prospect ultimately commits to is clearly a variable in their ranking and 'worth' as a prospect.
I think it is shitty for the schools mentioned as a 'big drop off'...but understand the stars and bigger schools sell, so I cannot knock another man's hustle.
