We’ve had a lot of very memorable regular season wins since Tubby Smith took over until now. How would you rank the list below in terms of being your favorite?
2022 at UT was a crazy 50/50 atmosphere. It really felt like we stuck it to UT/Beard and embarrassed them in so many ways. I think about the road airball chant daily. Truly a tech takeover.
Yesterday’s game against UH may be recency bias, but the ejections and “ball don’t lie” angle are tough to beat. Also, this UH team is the best team we beat on that list.
Beards return to Lubbock was the most electric atmosphere that I’ve been a part of. Only reason that it isn’t ranked higher is because it was a game that we were supposed to win.
Hard to believe that winning in Lawrence couldn’t get higher for me.
This was semi off the top of my head so let me know if I forgot any.
- 2022 @ #20 UT/Beard*
- 2019 @ISU (B12 championship)
- 2025 @ #6 UH
- 2022 vs. #23 UT/Beard*
- 2022 @ #1 BU*
- 2019 @ #10 KU (only win in Lawrence)
- 2021 @ #5 UT (McClung game winner)
- 2018 vs. UT (Keenan at the buzzer)*
- 2014 vs. #19 OSU (Marcus Smart)*
- 2019 vs. #17 KU (won by ~30)*
- 2017 vs. #7 WVU (Anthony Livingston game winning 3 with like two seconds left)
- 2020 vs. #1 Louisville (Avery Benson special)
- 2017 vs. #20 Northwestern (won by ~40, start of the golden era of Tech hoops)
