So I'm bored and thought of a random thread. If you had to list, in order, your top 10 MVP's of TTU Athletics who would you pick?
Everyone can have their own definition of what MVP is, but I'm ranking them based on if tomorrow they were to leave Tech, who we would miss the most. Oh and I'm only ranking the Big 3 sports of football, basketball and baseball because that's what I know. Sorry to all WBB, Volleyball, and track stars.
Here is my list:
1) Tim Tadlock, Manager, Baseball - he's built a back to back Big 12 champion, has awesome recruits coming in and is one of the best in the business. pretty easy #1 here.
2) Chris Beard, Head Coach, Basketball - in 1.5 seasons here he's improved our team dramatically, and we're ranked for the first time in 8 years. awesome recruiter too. pretty clear #2 choice after Tadlock.
3) David Gibbs, DC, Football - he's turned our defense around from the laughingstock of college football to one who led the conference in turnovers and is still improving. if he left now it would be devastating.
4) Steven Gingery, LHP, Baseball (JR) - ace of the baseball team and one of the best pitchers in the nation. coming off a season where he went 10-1 with a 1.58 ERA. if we want to compete for more Big 12 and a national championship, we definitely need Gingery here.
5) Keenan Evans, PG, Basketball (SR) - pretty clearly the best player on the basketball team, if he left we're not a NCAA tournament team, and with him we're a top 25 team.
6) Keke Coutee, WR, football (JR)
7) Josh Jung, 3B, baseball (SO)
8) Jordyn Brooks, MLB, football (SO)
9) Zach Smith, PF, basketball (SR)
10) Eli Howard, DE, football (FR)
HM: Davis Martin, Grant Little, John McMillon, Jarrett Culver, Zhaire Smith, Davide Moretti, Jack Anderson, Dakota Allen, TJ Vasher
