I plan on doing something similar to this for every game. As you can imagine, it was difficult to find things for Houston Baptist. Let me know what you guys think or if you have any suggestions!
Houston Baptist started playing football in 2013 and this will be their first game against a Power 5 opponent.
Vic Shealy is the only head coach in team history.
Here is the HBU press conference for the Texas Tech game. @D. Williams makes an appearance. Some good Lubbock talk in there.
They offered currrent Tech linebacker, Tyrique Matthews, 3 days after he had committed to Tech. haha
HBU freshman, Isaiah Cash, visited Lubbock for a camp.
Texas Tech was interested in HBU safety, Tra Fluellen, but never offered. He had a great freshman season for the Huskies with 101 tackles, two interceptions, a forced fumble, and three fumble recoveries.
Travell Lumpkin actually held a Tech offer out of high school. He played at Cibolo Steele, the same school that produced Terence Steele, Justin Stockton, Antoine Wesley, and Xavier Martin.
Dreshawn Minnieweather didn't play last week for HBU. He is one of their top offensive players. Covid?
Philip Ossai held some solid offers out of high school. He's the younger brother of longhorn linebacker, Joseph Ossai.
Jerreth and Josh Sterns are the younger brothers of longhorn safety, Caden Sterns. Jerreth led the country in receptions last year with 105.
Zach Kittley, Jared Kaster, and Tyler Schovanec all have ties to Texas Tech, obviously.
HBU football’s twitter account does not know how to post the correct score. They were down 29-10 at halftime.
Matt Mosley mentions that HBU is banged up. I’m not sure who all will be out for them.
Here is the TV info since it will be asked 100 times. 😜
