Bring on the home cooking and the sad sack Mildcats! You heard me!

First, West Virginia was very successful early in speeding up Tech offensively. It resulted in horrible shot selection, both from a floor position perspective and a work perspective. Tech was chucking up nonsense within 12, 15 seconds rather than making WVU work. That played right into the Mountaineers hands - but that's what they do, and they are really dang good at it. Second half, Tech played at Tech's pace even when they hurried so that was really nice to see.

Second, now, KSU.

They suck. Sorry but not going to pretend like they are tough world beaters because they are not. Yes they are a quality Big 12 conference, D1 basketball team. Yes they also advanced to the round of 8 last season. But there the similarities end.

Their joke preseason conference player of the year is out for this game, Dean Wade. Nice player, but he's about 1/8 of Culver. Sorry not sorry to speak the truth. Guy can score, he's tall, he can dribble a little. He's a James Worthy discount starter kit, except he plays even less defense than Worthy which I wasn't sure was possible. Sure, Wade would beat my sister in a game of one on one, but she'd still drop 7 or 8 points on him.

Their good point guard, Stokes, could play Saturday or he may not. He's in a boot but he's mobile. He could play, he is just sore so if he gets past that I suppose he'll play. I say bring it on! I wish he was 100% healthy so when Tech whips up on them I won't have to hear that bum Weber moaning about how Stokes and Wade aren't playing, boo hoo hoo.

Even if Stokes does play, that ain't enough! There is nothing, nothing and I mean nothing, Kansas State can do in and of thenmselves to beat Tech in Lubbock. They need help, they need Tech to do a lot of dumb and lose the game rather than KSU winning. Talk about 4:1, I will say this - dumb loses more than smart wins. The smartest thing to do is not play dumb and lose. Tech plays smart. Anyway, Stokes helps them for sure because as we all know, when someone is injured it impacts everyone because everyone has to do a little more and a little different to try to make up for it.

Tech is not likely to run anyone out of the gym, that's not Tech's game. Tech plays pretty frosty defense and makes you work on both ends of the court, grinding you down and surgically scoring after making you run though a bunch of screens. I don't think Tech wins this game 100 - 50, but I sure can see 70 - 50.

In fact, we need to get Whataburger on board with a promo - the 49 point Whataburger. Whenever Tech holds a conference opponent under 50 points at home, free Whataburger with every ticket! I'm saying come hungry on Saturday because a free burger could be in your future. Offer void everywhere.

The Raiders don't beat themselves, and the Wildcats can't do anything on their own to win. Weber sucks, he and Scott Drew both just roll the ball out there and if their five are better than your five they win. Well Tech has five that are just fine, one that is better in Culver, plus a coach. The coach.

Man I'm fired up. Let's go Raiders!
