My thought is it's not looking promising for McClung. It's not over yet, but the NCAA generally hands out waivers for two reasons:
McClung is from Virginia, so he's leaving a place that was close to home. #1 is out.
Was he run out? I found this quote from him:
“It was a number of different events that made me feel I had no choice but to transfer from Georgetown. I really wanted to stay, but things throughout my career made me realize that I couldn’t."
I don't know if that's a run off or not, and I imagine *if* the NCAA is still considering his transfer that this is the talking point.
Maybe there are circumstances I don't know, which would not be a shocker. Maybe he's released a more substantial statement than that blurb above from ESPN...whatever the "different events" are could make a huge difference.
Anyway, based on only what I know, which is all contained in this post, I am inclined to think getting a waiver here is an uphill battle.
