- Mooney proved something important to me this game in that he will be able to be counted on for defense against Big 12 guards. I felt this was the most significant take away from this game.
- I feel blessed to watch Culver in a red raider uniform. He is one of the greats of my life. Gay, flemons, swoopes, sasser battie, Pierson, ellis, Emmett, Jackson, evans....he's already on that list with only swoopes having more tools in the toolbox. He's possibly the best defender we've ever had. While only listed at 6'5" his wingspan projects as a 6'9". The territory he can cover on long rebounds from 3 point misses punishes teams who are dependent beyond the arc.
