So a couple of co-workers I spend a lot of time with (international plane flights etc) have a diverse background. One was a former head basketball coach at a D2 school (or whatever it’s classified as now) and the other was a head trainer at a D1 school (P5).
Totally unsolicited, and neither knowing I own a degree from a certain West Texas University, started in on an NCAA tourney discussion. I played the fool and asked what team they would put wagers down on for my yearly March trip to Vegas. Both, separately said and emphatically “Texas Tech!” and a variation of “that team is legit”, “no weaknesses”, “great coaching”, etc.
Just thought it was pretty cool that both of those guys’ first answer was Texas Tech. People are noticing.
