They announced in the arena it stayed with st joes because of the defensive foul that occurred after the last tie up. I don't remember a foul occuring but have also never heard of that
So as all of us were pissed last night, the possession arrow fiasco got me the most mad. Then I read this quote in the St Joes Refs thread and it got me thinking maybe the refs got it right. I just went back and watched the replay. At 6:27 the refs call for a jump ball and St Joes gets the arrow. On the inbound play Chance gets called for a hold before the ball is thrown in. So I called an NCAA ref that I also ref high school with and he said that St. Josephs would still have the arrow, because the foul on Tech nullified the possession arrow. Looked up the rule on the NCAA rule book and sure enough Rule 6, Section 3, Article 8 (page 73) says, "A foul by either team during an alternating-possession throw-in shall not cause the throw-in team to lose the alternating-possession arrow." That one ref was STILL HORRIBLE though. https://www.ncaapublications.com/productdownloads/BR20.pdf
