- First play tendencies: We ran a 2 back set for the second week in a row. DeAndre and Quentin get the start. The difference is that Ian Sadler and Reg Davis started instead of Jakeem Grant and Ja'Deion High
- Adjusting to the opponent: This week's first play defense was a 4-3 with Malik Jenkins starting alongside Kris Williams and Micah Awe.
- Get 'em in the game: Michael Coley, Zach Austin, and Kash Knutson made it onto the field, making 13 total WR's in the game, including 4 walkons.
- Missing in action: Jacarthy Mack and Andre Ross, who both played against SHSU, did not see the field.
