The amount of money women can spend is truly astonishing.
I have a stay at home wife and I see Amazon boxes on my doorstep everyday, sometimes multiple times in the same day.
I have done pretty well in my career but its like they see you making more and more money and they just find a way to spend it. I remember when I was young and single and I would see my account increase month over month, now you just hang on. Ultimately we are fine but how frustrating that every knick knack POS for the house must be purchased or something new for the kids.
I feel like you can beat them back but you are just stemming the tide. I don't know if its because they are at home during the day and bored but to all of you single guys enjoy your money while you can, once you have kids the women will find a way to rationalize every dollar spent.
You have to allocate retirement on the front side of paychecks just so that goes into a separate account that can't be spent. I'm sure some of you will have financially responsible wives or DINK and hats off to you but for me and several of my friends it looks like a never-ending battle.
