So with HBO, NefFlix, AppleTV and all the others making all these TV series I totally miss most of them. Two of my favorite shows ever are Everybody Loves Raymond and The King of Queens and I only discovered them because American Airlines had them on their entertainment systems when I was spending 75% of my time on business travel.
I disovered Veep on American Airlines several years ago and really liked it but lost track after the first couple of seasons since I rarely watch HBO. I cut the cord awhile back and just found Veep on Max, started binge watching it a couple of episodes a night. For anyone who hasn't seen it I highly, highly recommend it.
It's hilarious and I've read it's actually pretty accurate of what life in a presidential administration is like. One thing that is pretty remarkable about the show is I've never heard anything to indicate which political party they are in, and it doesn't preach any political opinions at all but yet it still feels pretty authentic. Julia Louis Dreyfuss's character is totally different from Elaine in Seinfeld yet she still has the same uber-bitch snarl Elaine had in the later seasons. Funny as hell.
For anyone who hasn't seen it it's worth a look, and if you hate politics you can still enjoy it without worrying about it having any political agenda other than making fun of their constant attention to polls. Greatness!
