I find this discussion somewhat interesting. Google is having issues with getting pole attachments.
Despite a nationwide agreement with AT&T and local agreements with utility providers & AT&T, they seem to be having issues with "joint owned poles". I've heard of joint use agreements, but I'm not sure I've ever hears of joint owned poles. Maybe they are the same thing and the article is just confusing me.
Although AT&T's name is thrown out a bit, looks like they're really in a battle with the cable companies.
