OT: TV Advice

Haven't purchased a TV in over 5 years. Need to replace a TV in kids media/playroom. Looking at a Samsung and Sony with Google TV. The Google TV perks my interest as I'm a Googler.

Anyone have any feedback on the Samsung or Sony Google TV OS/interface?

Or another option for a TV I should entertain, for 3 little humans. Dollar range up to 2k.
