I had heard of this case before but just read the story for the first time at the link below. Timothy Cole was the Texas Tech student who was accused of a rape, and convicted wrongly, who died in prison without ever knowing that he was exonerated after his death.
Reading this story literally made me sick to my stomach. It's only related to Tech because Timothy and his accuser were Tech students, but for someone to be wrongly convicted and the facts surrounding his case to be treated so nonchalantly are pretty inexcuseable. If I were Timothy's brother or parents I'd need anger management classes.
Anyway, I'm not sure if anyone here is familar with this. It's an interesting, unfortunate story that hopefully is a learning experience for everyone involved.
