My cousin's oldest son is dying in Lubbock. No relation to Tech at all, and while he lived in West Texas he did not live in Lubbock.
He didn't show up for the family business today, and they pinged his phone (find my friends or whatever) and found him in Lubbock. He wouldn't answer his phone so they called the sherrif's office who found him still alive. He was rushed him to the hospital. Suicide is suspected but not known for certain at this point.
This young man is now brain dead. He leaves behind a beautiful young son and a loving and supportive family. His family are great people. No one deserves to go through what they are dealing with now.
They are working to donate his organs and have to keep him on life support until doctors are available to harvest his organs. They could be dealing with his dying and organ donations for another 3-7 days before it's over.
I cannot imagine what my cousins are going through.
