My in-laws have reason to believe they have a water leak in their slab somewhere. They've been quoted $16k by one company here in Lubbock. Have another coming out to look at it in the morning. Says it's in the hot water line to the guest bathroom but the company that came out today couldn't pinpoint the exact location.
Any advice?
UPDATE: Okay, so that $16K price was NOT just to repair the leak. It was a whole house epoxy seal for all the water pipes. The price to just repair the existing leak is $1800.
Still sounds sketchy to me - they apparently told my father in law that "3 or 4" other houses in their cul-de-sac had had the same problem, presumably trying to get him to go for the more expensive option. I find it hard to believe that "3 or 4" of the other 20 or so houses have had the same issue and they all called Lowery for repairs... But anyway. I appreciate all the advice here.
