I guess I'm old now because I've hired out my mowing. First time since I was 12 that mowing is not on my agenda for the summer. Found a local gal who mows and was happy to hire her, did not want to hire out to some big outfit. Wanted a neighborhood kid to mow my grass but I'm not sure that's a thing any more. I can't count how many lawns I mowed as a kid but that era seems to be fleeting.
I gave one push mower to my son, kept the self propelled for myself as a backup just in case.
It's an odd feeling. I had an odd feeling when I retired and it took me a year or so to get adjusted to that state of being. Now I'm not mowing and I'm not quite adjusted to that state of being but I can tell it won't take long. I just need to find a local landscaper to complete my ascent into old.
Now I have even more free time to yell at various passing clouds and watch birds. I like it.
