Before COVID-19 hit in February I went to the podiatrist as I had been experiencing pain in my heel. The doctor looks at it and says, "yea, you have bone spurs and some tendon inflammation." He goes on, "we need to get you some shoe inserts to take the pressure off your heel. It is totally covered by insurance. I say, "great, but can I get verification that it is 100% covered." Nurse comes back, "yes it is totally covered." The nurse scans my foot to make a 3D model.
Mid-March - I get a call that the inserts are done and in the office. I never pick them up because of ... you know ... the virus and I don't want to be at a clinic unless I have to be.
Now it is May - I get a bill from the clinic for $400 for two shoe inserts. Inserts I don't have in my possesion - or nor do I want for $400.
What is my recourse with the billing department?
