This Sunday there was an article in the paper about Rimrock City. It was an Old West town just outside the east loop. Had daily western gunfights..a train, miniature golf and even an Elephant. Went there a few times as a kid and thought it was awesome.

In talking about this with family the Hayloft Dinner Theater came up. My father printed the playbills back then. What an incredible venue for a town like Lubbock. It was basically a very nice buffett followed by a play. These plays regularly had either young hollywood actors on the way up or older actors in the twilight of their careers. Ones I remember were DeForest Kelly, Virginia Mayo, Andy Devine, Betty Hutton , Frank Sutton [Sgt Carter on Gomer Pyle] Doug McClure and many others.
Any other "olds" remember these?
