Hey everybody, a good friend of mine is looking for a mechanical engineering job in Lubbock, or at least, a Mech E adjacent job. He is NOT a Red Raider himself (Rice grad) but married a Red Raider, lives in Lubbock, and is absolutely allowing himself to be integrated into the Red Raider culture. An honorary Red Raider, if you will.
Within the past year, him and his wife moved to Lubbock (having spent time in Houston among other places right after college). His wife does campus ministry at Tech and they would prefer to remain in Lubbock as her line of work, especially being able to do it at her alma mater, means a lot to her. He has interviewed for both local and remote jobs because they really want to try to make it work to stay in Lubbock.
I lack connections in this realm and both my friend and his wife being new to the "job market" side of Lubbock and not the "college" side of Lubbock, are lacking connections as well. He doesn't know I'm putting feelers out on his behalf, but I trusted the RRS family to provide some leads or just straight up advice for someone looking for work in this field. He has about 3 years of job experience in the Houston area but completely new to West Texas.
Feel free to PM me for more detailed contact or info.
Thanks y'all!
